A NEW

ADVENTURE

BEGINS

Join AOE as we unveil our first tournament for Riot's new FPS Valorant: the Valor Cup. All may compete for the $200 prize pool in this Australian and Oceanic community tournament. Teams will compete in a three to four week long swiss bracket, playing two matches every Friday night. The top four teams will enter the final two rounds of playoffs.

STAGE 1

Teams play two matches every Friday night, competing in a swiss bracket. Each round teams are matched with other teams that have the same WIN-LOSS record. No teams are eliminated.

Matches are best-of-one series, played at 7pm and 8pm AEST.

After three weeks the four teams with the best records from the swiss bracket advance to Stage 2. The rest are eliminated.

STAGE 2

The top four teams compete in a single elimination finals bracket, to determine the victors of the tournament. 1st seed will be paired with 4th seed, and 2nd seed with 3rd seed.

Teams will play one match a week. Matches will be best-of-three series, played at 7pm AEST weekly.

HOW TO PLAY YOUR MATCH

During Stage 1 teams will be playing two matches a night. It is therefore crucial for teams to complete their first match each week on time by 8pm sharp (AEST). If match scores have not been submitted by that time, unfinished matches will be declared a draw.

  • All players must be ready for their first match to begin to begin by 6.50pm AEST.

  • The team represented on the left side of the bracket is responsible for setting the lobby up, and inviting the opposing team.

  • Matches should start as soon as both teams are ready. Matches may start early - in fact we encourage it to ensure they finish on time!

  • If any team is late by 10 minutes, they forfeit their match.

  • All matches must use the default tournament mode, with cheats disabled.

  • When your match is complete, report the score in the AOEsports discord server.

8pm matches:

  • As soon as all scores have been reported, the bracket for the second round for the night will be published.

  • The bracket will be published by 8.05pm AEST at the latest.

  • Teams will have until 8.15pm AEST to start their match.

  • There is no time limit on the second round of matches.
